Hi all, New to tufting, trial and erroring my way through:) I've got a loop gun, and my main issue seems to be I'm going along fine and then boom, I get a huge tangle where the yarn has actually caught and spun itself inside and around the gear somehow. Unplug, sit down, slowwwwwly unwind it all by manually turning the gear. Lots of stopping and starting is wasting so much time. I'm trying to be so mindful of where the yarn is feeding from, but still happening multiple times a run. I'm going at the slowest gun speed (which is fine by me). Anyone else ever have this problem? Thanks!

Hi Eileen,
Sorry this is happening! I believe this is due to where your yarn is being fed from. Do you have a stand or something that your yarn is sitting on? In the user manual you'll find some images of a common yarn feeding set-up. Ideally the yarn is coming from above in some way. This will keep the yarn from the moving parts of the machine, but also makes it easier to move around while you tuft.
I hope this helps!
